Decision on support for Dyckerhoff Polska

Dyckerhoff Polska Sp. z o.o. received the decision of the Starachowice Economic Zone on support for a very important investment to be conducted in the Nowiny cement plant and include the modernisation of the technological line. The value of this enterprise will exceed PLN 200 m.

This will allow the company to keep the production at the previous level with low carbon dioxide emissions,’ said Mirosław Majchrowicz, President of the company, who, together with Nataliia Pryimak, the Finance Manager, received the decision from Agata Binkowska, Deputy President of the Starachowice Economic Zone.

Due to the climate changes, the requirements of the European Union applicable to industrial plants are also rising. They involve the reduction of carbon dioxide emission, and the free allocation of emission rights for cement producers will end in 2032. That is why Dyckerhoff Polska decided to invest more than PLN 200 m in the modernisation of cement production facilities. This will help to produce low-carbon cement in the future.

The planned investment will be the biggest but not the only one. ‘In the coming years, the company plans further modernisation of the plant that will cost much more, so as to meet the goals set by the governing bodies of the European Union with regard to the reduction of carbon footprint by 2032,’ added President Majchrowicz.

‘The company will invest more than PLN 213 m and, in relation to our decision, it will gain the right to exemption from income tax on profit earned as part of this investment,’ added Agata Binkowska, Deputy President of the Starachowice Economic Zone in Starachowice.
